Tell us a little bit about yourself:
I graduated with a Podiatry Degree in 2007 and a Biomedical Science Degree in 2001. As a podiatrist I have gained experience in all aspects of Podiatry practice including sports injuries of the lower limb, biomechanical assessments, gait analysis, orthotic therapy, footwear assessments and recommendations, diabetic foot assessments and treatment of conditions of the toe nails and skin.
I have a special interest in biomechanical assessments, gait analysis, sports injuries, sports orthotics, running shoe recommendations and dry needling of the feet.
Having worked in sports medicine clinics since the start of my career, I’ve been lucky to have worked alongside other allied health professional such physiotherapists, sports physicians, orthopaedic surgeons and massage therapists including other podiatrists. This has given me experience in the holistic approach to treating patients and improving their injury outcomes.
During my career I have treated a both senior and junior athletes from a range of different sports including Rugby League, Rugby Union, Touch Football, AFL, Soccer, Long distance running, Athletics, Basketball, Hockey, Netball, Tennis, Boxing, Weightlifting and Shooting. The highest profile athletes I have treated include Australian heavyweight weightlifter Damon Kelly (Commonwealth Games 2010 Gold medalist & 2014 Bronze medalist) & NBA Basketballer & Australian Boomer Brock Motum.
Since a young age I have been involved in sport, competing in Basketball, Running, Swimming, Rowing, Surf Boats and Triathlons. My current activities are Surfing and Running.
